William Grenfell, President, 330-723-4860

Mr. Grenfell is a native of Painesville, Ohio. He and his wife Carolyn moved to Medina in 1986. They have three daughters, two graduates of Medina City Schools and one is currently in school. Mr. Grenfell works for Lockheed Martin Simulation working in the Finance Department. He has volunteered in many capacities for the Medina City Schools serving on PTO's, assisting with After-Prom, teaching Junior Achievement, and serving in numerous capacities on the Medina City Schools Foundation. While on the Foundation, Mr. Grenfell helped start the Medina College Access Program and the Foundation's membership program. He has coached numerous sports from 1993-2008

Dr. Robert Wilder, Vice President, 330-722-7386                                        

Dr. Wilder began his service on the Board of Education in 1988. A Medina graduate he lives in Medina with his wife Chris. He is an emergency room physician and practiced family medicine for seven years. Dr. Wilder's other contributions to the community have included service on the boards of the United Church of Christ, Children Services Team, Community Mental Health Services, Medina City Schools Foundation, ACCESS, Medina Tennis Association, the Medina Community Recreation Center, Medina County Arts Foundation and the Medina County Career Center.

Charley Freeman, 330-722-8939

He earned a finance degree from The University of Akron in 1981. Additionally, he maintains a professional deisgnation of Certified Financial Planner. Mr. Freeman enjoys his work at Merrill Lynch where he has been a wealth management advisor since 1981.

 Mr. Freeman has volunteered and held leadership positions in numerous organizations including the Medina Chapter of the American Cancer Society, Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club, Junior Achievement and Goodwill Industries of Akron.  He enjoys running, old wood boats, and an occassional joke!
 

Dr. Karla Robinson, 330-241-4980

Dr. Robinson and her family have lived in Medina since 2004. A native of Chardon, Ohio she holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and master's and doctorate in Communication from Northwestern University. She has served in the district as a room parent, PTO president, volunteer for Friends of Medina City Schools, and district-wide communications committee chair for the five-year strategic planning process in 2011.

She teaches communication courses for the University of Akron Wayne College at the Medina County University Center, and also teaches distance learning courses for Michigan State University.

She and her husband have one daughter in Medina City Schools. They enjoy cheering their daughter's Medina Makos swim team and recreation league basketball team.

Susan Vlcek, 330-461-0491

Mrs. Vlcek, her husband Ron and their five children have lived in Medina since 1987. She holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and a master's degree from Washington University in Social Work. She has served the district as room mother, PTO president, volunteer coordinator, tutor, member of various committees, and chairperson of levy campaigns.

She is the coordinator for Junior Leadership Medina County, a leadership development program for county teens. Susan is the co-chair of the South African Mission Partnership, based in northeastern Ohio. She is also quite active in her church, teaching Sunday School, leading Youth Fellowship, and taking high school students on summer mission trips. She is a recipient of both the Medina County Women of Distinction Award and the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.

Mrs. Vlcek is one of two representatives of Medina City Schools on the Medina County Career Center Board of Education.
